Yep, I saw that eggs were 99¢ and knew I had to come here and tell you... Bummer!
ReplyDeleteThe produce prices seem to change regularly, even taking into account the sale prices. For instance, cucumbers were 50¢ last week, and today they were 55¢. I guess because they have such a small presence in South Florida, they're more sensitive to price changes from their suppliers.

Oh, and also a quart of regular cottage cheese was 99¢, down from $1.99. The low-fat version was still $1.99. This is great for me, since I'm trying to add more protein sources to my diet, and cottage cheese is great for breakfast!
ReplyDeleteLaura, I hope they'll soon take the egg price down again, and yes I too have noticed the frequent changes. I am going to keep track though, because I think I am beginning to see a pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt can be a little tricky to keep track, since they do not advertise. That's a great price for cottage cheese though.
Milk and eggs fluctuate very often at my Aldis here in CT
ReplyDeleteJSK it seems as if there are many small fluctuations. This is the first increase on eggs I have seen in a month though, and they are still cheaper than the competition.
