Aldi Price Comparison ListIt is time for another updated Aldi
Grocery Price Comparison list
between Aldi, Publix, Target and Walmart. I have included the Publix price changes that starts tomorrow 2/17, and the Target sales prices last until 2/19.
We bought some very very cheap grapes at Aldi today, and my biggest mistake was that I did not buy more. They are so tasty, that we have almost gone through 2 lbs already.
A few Aldi price highlights this week:
1 lb strawberries $1.99
2 lb grapes (red and green seedless) $0.99
If you have arrived at an older version of the price comparison list, you can find the newest version at the

Bold: Best Price
The above grocery price comparison list between Aldi, Publix, Target and Walmart was last updated on 2/22/2011. If you need a newer edition go to the
Aldi Price Comparison List tab.
The
grocery price comparison list is created based on South Florida prices, and you might find regional price differences. South Florida prices are usually a bit higher than in the rest of the country, so you will likely find better prices at your local store. It is a constant work in progress, and if there is any specific products you would like to see included, let me know in the comment area.
WOW! Aldi's Has some awesome prices across the board! :)
ReplyDeleteI had my first Aldi's shopping trip on Monday. I compared the things I got there with what I usually get at Wal Mart. There was a $13 difference. I would have to take off another $5 though because of the extra gas I needed to get to Aldi's. The nearest Aldi's is 48 miles away . Considering I have to travel at least 25 miles to get to any major food store anyway (we live in the sticks) an extra 23 miles and the gas spent would be worth the trip to Aldi's. Although I would try and keep it to a once a month trip for more savings on groceries and gas.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this blog! Thanks for all the work you put into it ;- )

Amanda, I love how you look at your savings. I think it is very important to take gas and driving time into consideration, when you think about where you save the most.
ReplyDeleteI used to go to Aldi twice a month, because driving there is a couple of more miles than to my regular store. However, now thanks to the Aldi Spot I need to go there every week. Still the savings are worth it, and it also gives me a chance to visit a different Target store close to Aldi, which again saves me more money on clearance deals.
Wow, I can't believe there is that much of a savings at Aldi! Thanks for the chart, it really helped to open my eyes. I don't have one near me just yet (fingers crossed) but there is one about 15 miles away, which just might be worth it for the savings.

Stacey, Aldi really do have some fantastic savings, especially if you do not use coupons. I use coupons as much as I can, but there are just certain products including produce, eggs and OJ that is difficult to find cheaper anywhere even with rare coupons. In the beginning I went to Aldi every two weeks and made sure to stock up on everything I could not get cheaper elsewhere.
ReplyDeletealdi has great prices but its store brands are hit and miss as far as quality. many name brands surpass Aldi for quality products. Aldi can be inconvenient for elderly, disabled and those with small children because of bring your own bags, bag your own no help getting groceries to the car. also store hours, open at 9 close at 8. limited hours on Sat and Sun. if you want beer, it is not refrigerated, store brands only. Aldi is fine for getting extra items if you are in the area and not getting a lot of groceries
ReplyDeleteAldis meat is not very good. got gristle in hamburger, pork chops were very thin and had many bones, cut up chicken was cheaper elsewhere. also not much meat and fish selection. I will buy meat elsewhere from now on.
ReplyDeleteIf you combine Aldi with deal apps like Checkout51 you can even save a little more.
