There have been lots of price increases reported by Aldi lovers, and I noticed several prices increases at my South Florida Aldi Store as well. I have added a lot of the Aldi price increases in the grocery price comparison, but let me tell you it is not just at Aldi the prices are going up dramatically. I have been very busy today, as both Target and Publix had lots of price increases I needed to adjust in the grocery comparison list.
I am going to put together a post highlighting some of the new price increases, so if you have noticed any at your local Aldi store this week, please let me know in your comment...if you have a blog I will link back to you.

Bold: Best Price
The above grocery price comparison list between Aldi, Publix, Target and Walmart was last updated on 4/8/2011. If you need a newer edition go to the
Aldi Price Comparison List tab.
The grocery price comparison list is created based on South Florida prices, and you might find regional price differences. South Florida prices are usually a bit higher than in the rest of the country, so you will likely find better prices at your local store. It is a constant work in progress, and if there is any specific products you would like to see included, let me know in the comment area.
I do my best to keep up with the price changes, but if I miss something please feel free to let me know. Aldi price changes are ongoing, but most change on Sundays and Wednesdays. Target and Walmart prices change on Sundays and Publix prices change on Thursdays....I try my best to keep the price list updated throughout the week.
If you found a great Aldi price I would love to hear about it...
Thanks for the list. Glad to see that milk still has not gone up. I wish you would add butter to this comparisons list
ReplyDeleteI still can't get over the price of the salmon. I bought a package on my last trip to Aldi. Have not eaten it yet, but after looking at your pictures I am looking forward to it. I also bought some flounder. They have great prices on frozen fish.
Thank you for all your hard work, I appreciate it, I just wish I had an Aldi closer.
June, the prices on fish is definitely better than any of our competitors, and my husband sure loves the salmon.
ReplyDeleteI do have the 4 stick butter listed, but it can be hard to find (under shredded cheese and above apple juice)
Unsalted Butter Store Brand 16 oz Publix: $3.79 Aldi: $2.29 Target: $2.99 Walmart $2.48.
Is it a different size butter, you would like me to list? If so, please let me know, and I will be happy to do so. I try to add a couple of items every week, but I do not want it to be so overwhelming that I cannot keep up with the prices either, since they change constantly especially at Target.
Thank you for the shout out, you are so kind. I also wish Aldi was a bit closer to us, as it is still a drive compared to Publix and Target.
I guess I just missed the butter post. I use far too much butter but I love my bake goods/sweets so I am always looking for the lowest price on butter.
ReplyDeleteI think you do an amazing job keeping up with the prices, I know I am amazed, and thankful for your efforts.
Love fresh vegetables. I am really surprised that their fresh produce stay fresh for so long. I bought the grapefruits and they were a nice size and the price was great. I did not have to toss out even one strawberry.
I have a Publix and Albertson's directly across the street from each other and they are only about a mile and a half from my house. Aldi is about 3 1/2 miles With the price of gas Aldi has to have a lot of great prices to beat the other stores prices. Last week I spent $80. ...just at Aldi and there are only two of us!
June, I bet you got a lot of food for the $80. I know I can get a lot at Publix for that amount by using coupons and sales, but I am still surprised every time I spend $30 at Aldi, when I realize how much produce I get for the money compared to at Publix.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the produce and their longevity. This is one of the things that has been a very positive surprise for me.
I also bake a lot, so I was excited to see the price of baking goods....although Target still has sugar cheaper than at Aldi, and they are moving closer to each other when it comes to flour prices too. Compared to Publix, Aldi wins though.
