I did a lot of shopping at Aldi this week, but part of it was for a special sponsored blogging promotion at my other blog Frugality Is Free, which I will share next week. Otherwise I just picked up a few Aldi groceries such as meat, orange juice and produce. I was hoping to pick up a couple of the cheap chickens, but they were all gone by the time I got there.
My Aldi Shopping Trip
Broccoli $0.99
Lettuce $1.15
2 x Avocado @ $0.49 each = $0.98
4 x Aldi Orange Juice @ $1.99 each = $7.96
Chicken drumsticks $3.66
Fresh chicken tenders $2.39
Total out of pocket $17.13
Total saved $8
Savings are calculated compared to the lowest price at my regular grocery stores. Take a look at the Aldi price list and price comparison list with Publix, Target, Winn-Dixie and Walmart.
I would love to hear how you did on your grocery shopping this week. You can link up below, and you can also link up at the Weekly Savings Linky at Frugality Is Free, where I post all of my shopping for the week.
This was my first time really shopping at Aldi and I have to say I am hooked! I compared the prices to the grocery stores in my area and I would have paid at least 50% more. Thanks for all the work you do on all your sites!
ReplyDeleteYou sure did get some great deals, and I am a bit jealous of your apple prices. My sons favorite apples are still $2.99 for 3 lbs at Aldi.
