I found lots of great Aldi clearance deals today, and I ended up filling up my cart with some great Aldi deals. The leftover holiday candy was finally clearanced down to a price that I could use, so I bought plenty to use for my kids' Valentine's day candy bags for school. I figure they won't mind eating the green Hershey's kisses, because then we will be left with red and white for the Valentine's Day goody bags.

By the way....the Aldi strawberries were delicious this week! Ours are from the Astin Strawberry Exchange in Plant City....much better than last week. 

If you have a Sedanos store near your Aldi store, you are likely to find a great price on eggs too. This week Sedanos has eggs on sale at 2 for $1.69, which is probably the reason why Aldi had to cut their price too.

I usually make a big shopping trip to Aldi and Target on Thursdays, but this week is a short school week for my boys, so I had to go shopping today. 

I had originally intended on making it a day trip on the bus with my youngest son, where we go to the playground and have a lot of fun in between shopping. However, yesterday after our long morning walk and picking up the big boys, I somehow made a wrong movement and twisted my arm the wrong way. I am so thankful it did not happen until we got home, because it sure hurt and least I had no more kids to pick up or errands to run. I hardly slept last night due to the pain, and while I can still use my arm and hand, my arm and back hurts big time, if I make a wrong movement. 

So....I asked my husband if he would give us a ride, and thankfully he agreed. This meant that I just ran in and grabbed what I needed at Aldi, and then we headed back home again.

I spotted several Aldi price cuts and Aldi clearance items today, and I wanted to share some of them with you, so that you know what to keep your eye out for. These Aldi price cuts may vary from store to store, but some may be in all stores. I checked the expiration dates, and they were all months away at least. The only exception were the butt portion hams, which had a sell by date later this month.

Aldi Plants - I Saved $17 - Link Up At The Aldi Savings Linky

I was very excited about getting to Aldi this week, and for once it was not about the produce prices. I wanted to pick up the $1.99 plants, because my husband brought home a new-to-us flower stand the other day. I made sure that every pot had at least two stems in, so that I can separate them into two pots. 

The South Florida weather is very tricky and it can go from 80 degrees to 60 overnight, but my tomato plants are growing nicely already. I had planted pepper plants, lettuce and more, but our neighbors rabbit was let loose and enjoyed a very nice salad. Guess who finally caught it? Yes, that would be me! There was no way I was going to let the rabbit destroy my entire vegetable garden, so I caught it, brought it back and helped fix the cage, so I would get no new visitors.

The January 2012 Aldi Price List: Grocery Prices From Publix, Target, Walmart & Winn-Dixie

It is time for the first Aldi price list in 2012, and I have been busy keeping track of the latest prices after the holiday slow down. I have now been doing the Aldi price list for a year, and some of the prices have changed dramatically. I am working on making a comparison between now and then, and I am very curious to see the price differences.

For meat prices check out the Aldi Meat Prices list, where you can compare your own grocery store's sales prices to make sure you get the best price on the meat your family eats.

The South Florida prices are usually a bit higher than the average, but despite any minor grocery price differences, you can usually count on the products still being cheaper, where I have highlighted it. Grocery prices change often, and it is impossible for me to keep updated on all prices at all times, so please use the below grocery price list as a guide.
